Cancellations and refund  
A refund will be honored, less 25 % for administration charge, provided that a written request is received by the Secretariat on or before April 17, 2009. All approved refunds will be issued 6 weeks after the conference. The Conference Secretariat regrets that requests for refunds will not be considered if received after the April 17, 2009 deadline.
Force Majeure - Unexpected cancellation of the event:  
The International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) reserves itself the right to cancel without notice or compensation the CISTM11 in the event of force majeure cases (for example, but not limited to acts of nature such as fire, earthquake, hurricane, flood or terrorist attacks). In such cases, the ISTM is freed of all responsibility. Limitation of liability of the ISTM: In the event of it being impossible for the ISTM to carry out the CISTM11 for force majeure cases, so long as this arises from a cause not attributable to the ISTM, ISTM shall only be obliged to reimburse the payments received subject to deduction of any costs it has incurred in preparing the event. This liability only extends to the payments made directly to the CISTM11 and not to payments made by the attendees to the hotel or airlines.
